Black Friday hike! It's our first "real" hike (okay, it was pretty real, about 2 hrs of hiking....) without a jogging stroller or Toby in the backpack. We figured they had legs, let's let them use them! They LOVED it and kept a pretty decent pace -- much to our surprise. We did lots of pitstops too -- checked out birds, rocks, erosion (Ellie's new favorite word), insects and normal nature-y sort of stuff.
Of course, Berkeley came too! This isn't the greatest picture but this Open Space Park is exactly 4 miles from our house. For those who haven't visited us -- you get a better sense of how in the middle-of-nowhere we live -- and right on the edge of it! No cities, towns, people for many miles. We both agree that we will miss the big blue sky and beautiful rolling mountains in our backyard.
Yep, there were hills! They did great and lots of water and granola bars at the top!
Great time had by all.
Okay, as promised to Mr. T.... this is a picture Toby took. He was very proud of his perfect lining-up of trucks and wanted to take a picture for all to see. Aren't you glad you checked out our blog today? ha ha....
Great pictures! Okay, by the look of Toby's very well lined up cars and trucks, it doesn't look like he will be needing another one of those. Nuts! I already mailed your package out. Oh well. I hope he can still enjoy it. :)
