Like father, like son.
Toby's new favorite game: parking the bikes just right.
Petting Zoo at Ellie's school!
Chicken...
Goats.... and the rest of the pictures turned out, well, not blog-worthy. Kids had a great time despite their mother taking terrible pictures!
I realized I haven't posted much in the last few weeks despite us being so busy! In reality, nothing major is new so I don't want to bore you with mundane details.... on the other hand, I know it's nice to take a peek into our lives!
Mike's Update: contract is signed, sealed and delivered! Off to Princeton we go! He is currently wading through the paperwork of beginning to seperate from the military (this is a long process that needs to be started now) and wading through all the scores of info whether to buy/rent out there, sell/rent our house here, etc. I am so grateful that he can hold numbers so well in his head! Everything goes fuzzy in my brain after awhile...
Ellie Update: speaking of numbers.... this kid LOVES numbers! A calculator goes with her almost everywhere and stayed under her mattress when she sleeps. NOT kidding. She came out to me the other morning and said, "Mommy, 13 + 13 is 26, right?" "Right you are honey." "Okay, I'm going back to bed now" and off she goes. Crazy kid! School is treating her well as she is excelling in learning to read and learning how to make new friends.
Toby Update: That boy cracks me up! He is great and mellowing out just like Ellie did at age 2 1/2. He loves anything with wheels and his current favorites are motorcycles and ambulances. He is talking in paragraphs and it's so fun to know what goes on in his brain. He, like Ellie, is taking to drawing, coloring, sorting, organizing.... oh my. I am definitely seeing a lot of Mike in him too! My little gigglebuns...
Me Update: Hm.... steady as she goes! Honestly nothing really new -- this family keeps me joyfully on my toes. I find solace in reading, cooking and developing my new hobbie: sewing. Project pictures to follow.... someday. Not now, it's a secret for most of you reading this! Otherwise I've been busy making some meals for new moms and helping out a fellow mom by babysitting while her middle child goes to chemo. SO happy to help where there is a need!
Pet update: Berkeley is a dog that loves to sleep and Sushi, our beloved fish, died. She was replaced with another fish now named October Love. Nope, not kidding!
